Hardwood, LVT, Laminate, and Ceramic Tile all have numerous selections for your floors. With simple maintenance instructions and following them correctly, your floors can last a lifetime.
Like most things in life, when a spill occurs, clean it up quickly to prevent staining. In ceramic, the grout lines tend to absorb the most stains. Hardwood, LVT, and Laminate however, are not exempt. If the stain is unpreventable, use a manufacturer-recommended cleanser. Some mild household cleansers will also work. Avoid using harsh chemicals such as bleach or ammonia.
Try to have water spills cleaned up within 10 mins, especially on Laminate.
As tiny as dust particles are, they can be detrimental to your hardwood floors, scratching them relentlessly. Sweeping/swiffing regularly and placing rugs at entryways and high volume areas will help you alleviate this issue. Attaching soft pads to the feet of your furniture can help keep movement of furniture from being a problem. A damp mop is recommended at least once a week to remove any residue that may have built up.
With proper care, you can maintain beautiful floors, keeping them looking as if they were just installed!
